Dr Gary Morgan was chair of Southern Rock Lobster, director of Fisheries in South Australia, and chair of Wild Catch SA - the peak body for the South Australian fishing industry.
He was also an advisor to the European Commission and to the United States Agency for International Development on marine parks.
