Francis Ford joined Inflatable Packers InternationaI in 2005 as an apprentice. He developed his skills in manufacturing, tool and packer design and field operations across multiple industries including mining, water, civil/construction, oil & gas. He then became a manager leading IPI's R&D efforts, and is now its engineering director.

Mr Ford is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, an author of several technical papers, and is credited in several industry patents.
