Florian Herold joined Macquarie in early 2009 and helped set up the Principal Finance business. With more than 16 years of investment experience in the UK, Europe and Australia, Florian previously held roles at UBS, Blackstone and in public equity funds.
Prior to his appointment as Global Head of Principal Finance in December 2018, Florian was based in London as Co-Head of the European Principal Finance business.
Principal Finance provides flexible primary financing solutions and engages in secondary market investing, across the capital structure. With global coverage of corporate and real estate sectors, the Principal Finance team comprises approximately 100 investing professionals across Sydney, Singapore, London, Chicago, New York and San Francisco.
Florian was appointed to the Executive Committee on 1 December 2018.
