Fiona Roche is a well-respected and experienced public sector executive who has been involved in central agencies with a policy coordination role.
Ms Roche was the executive director of the Office of Science and held senior roles in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet; Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation; and Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. Her background has involved a focus on governance, integrity and diversity. She also worked with the Public Sector Commissioner, Mal Wauchope, as one of his deputy commissioners.
Ms Roche has since been a senior advisor for government relations at Telethon Kids Institute.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Commerce, and had lectured at Curtin University.
