Elaine Campbell has over 20 years of legal experience and extensive leadership experience in regulatory change environments.
Ms Campbell commenced her career as a solicitor for Kensington Swan before gaining legal experience in the UK and US. She was a senior solicitor at Russell McVeagh before joining the NZX's executive team where she led a significant change program. Ms Campbell has been the director of compliance at the Financial Markets Authority, introducing significant regulatory reforms to the financial services sector, and was general counsel of AMP Financial Services and an executive director of the group’s operating companies. She became the general counsel & company secretary of Chorus NZ in August 2018, and was appointed chief corporate officer in December 2020.
