
Duncan Makeig has substantial legal & corporate governance expertise and international experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
His management career spanned over 30 years, having held a number of senior leadership positions including as the managing director of Lion Asia Dairy; as well as general counsel, company secretary and corporate & government affairs roles for Lion Nathan, PepsiCo Australasia/Africa and the Tricon Restaurants (now known as Yum! Brands Inc) which operates food outlets such as KFC and Pizza Hut.
Mr Makeig has been the chief executive and co-founder of brand-building consultancy firm, China Road. His is also chair of New Zealand-listed company Good Spirits Hospitality, chair of each of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation and Curing Homesickness, a director of The Better Bar Company and Wirrabilla Pastoral, and part-owner of the Royal Hotel in Wyong. He was previously chair of Heineken-Lion Australia and a director of Banksia Wines, Bevchain, and Good Spirits Hospitality.
