David Parker
David Parker was the director of government and public affairs at Quadrant Energy where he was responsible for its corporate affairs function. He was also a director of policy and external relations for the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME), industry development manager of the Australian Gas Association (AGA) with responsibility for promoting the development of the Australian natural gas industry in Western and Northern Australia.

In the mid 1990s, Mr Parker was the administration manager at the former WMC Resources' Nifty Copper Operation, located near the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of WA. During this time, he was appointed to the board of the Pilbara Development Commission. Between 1991 and 1994 he was corporate affairs officer for Alcoa of Australia, based in the company’s Melbourne corporate office. Before joining the resources sector, Mr Parker was marketing manager for the Institute of Public Affairs in Melbourne and an advisor to the Western Australian Leader of the Opposition between 1987 and 1989 in Perth.

Mr Parker has been chair of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of WA (CCIWA) Energy Forum, a Life member of the Petroleum Club of Western Australia, and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM). He has also served in a number of RAAF Reserve roles, including the ADF’s 1 Joint Public Affairs Unit and No 25 (City of Perth) Squadron.

Mr Parker holds a Master of Business Administration from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University.
