David Naylor

David Naylor has over 35 years of experience in the professional services industry. He commenced his working life in the banking industry before starting his own accounting business from an office within his parent's home. He began with a small portfolio of clients consisting of friends and family and grew it into Australia’s fastest-growing property, business, tax-accounting and wealth advisory group. Mr Naylor is the co-founder of Chan & Naylor National Accounting Group. He is a non-executive director of Chan and Naylor Australia and provides strategic advice and overall direction to the group and senior management. Mr Naylor is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia. Mr Naylor has also been a property investor and developer for over 30 years and his opinions and articles on property are highly regarded by clients, peers and the investor public. He is also a co-author of “Small to Great – How to Turn Your Small Business Into A Great Business” and has contributed to other best selling publications in the tax, asset protection and property area. Mr Naylor sits on the careers advisory panel of a large educational institution and gives back to the Industry by speaking to, and guiding, young students looking to start a career in the professional services industry. He devotes time to charity, particularly in raising funds for breast cancer research, and was integral in the establishment of the Chan & Naylor Foundation which was established to facilitate the giving and support to organisations and people in need. He is also raising awareness for “ Bear Cottage”, a hospice that provides palliative and end-of-life care to children with life-limiting illnesses.
