David Fenwick was the chief executive of Amaroo Care Services from January 2002 to February 2021. Under his leadership, Amaroo’s Independent Living Units have increased by more than 150, residential care places by 148, a new world-class care home - Buckley Caring Centre – was launched during March 2017, the launch of Amaroo@Home which provides Home Care Package services to seniors living within the City of Gosnells and the Shire of Denmark, Amaroo taking over the management of Lionsville Village which consists of 24 pensioner Independent Living Units in a joint venture with the Department of Housing, and he successfully lobbied the government to allocate 40 residential care places at Denmark.
He has managerial experience in WA rural health services, including as general manager of Central Great Southern Health Service and the Mid West Health Service.
Mr Fenwick also has publications on health and aged care to his credit, and has implemented the development of several world-class residential aged care facilities in regional Western Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy & Sociology, Public Administration; a Graduate Diploma in Health Policy and Management; and is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Executives.
