David Cohen

David Cohen joined Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 2008 and has held a number of roles including as group general counsel, group executive for corporate affairs and chief risk officer. He became the deputy chief executive in November 2018 and is also a director of ASB Bank which is Commonwealth Bank’s wholly-owned New Zealand subsidiary, and the president commissioner of PT Bank Commonwealth, CBA’s retail and business banking operation based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Prior to CBA, Mr Cohen was the general counsel of AMP and a partner with Allens Arthur Robinson for 12 years.
