Dr David Carland has over 35 years of investment banking experience in the private and government sectors.
He is the executive director of Australian Resources Development, a company which focuses on the provision of advice and assistance on the structuring, financing and development of energy and resource projects. Dr Carland has held senior executive roles with the CRA Group (now Rio Tinto), including management of the arrangements for the purchase of the Gladstone Power Station.
Dr Carland was the co-founder and part-owner of BurnVoir Corporate Finance, an investment banking firm focusing on the energy, resource and infrastructure sectors. Prior to that, he was the executive vice president and head of energy and power at Bankers Trust, and the deputy managing director and head of corporate finance at UBS Australia.
