Since 1986, David Burton has acted exclusively for insurers and self insureds in the defence and management of general insurance, public liability, employer’s liability, workers’ compensation and compulsory third party motor vehicle claims. He is also widely regarded as a leading practitioner in personal and catastrophic injury claims in Western Australia, representing WA insurers in dozens of matters where the total claim value has ranged from $2M to $21M.
Mr Burton is a highly experienced trial lawyer, regularly appearing as SRB Legal’s in-house counsel. He was admitted to practice as a Barrister at the Cape Town Bar in 1985, as a lawyer in WA in 1988, and was a founding partner of SRB Legal in 1999. SRB Legal merged with McCabe Curwood in July 2020.
