Craig Muir has overall responsibility for GHD’s design-led integrated architectural and engineering practice in Western Australia. His responsibilities include strategic leadership, client and business development, design management and project director duties across major architectural and infrastructure projects. He is the Market Leader for GHD's Property and Buildings practice and a Director of GHDWoodhead, GHD's affiliated national architectural practice. Mr Muir is also the National Sector Leader for Residential, Retirement Living and Aged Care and a member of GHDWoodhead's national practice leadership group. He has over 25 years’ experience in the successful design and delivery of major building and urban infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom. Mr Muir's experience encompasses project definition, master planning and building design and delivery across the residential, retirement living, healthcare and wellness, transport, commercial and industrial sectors. His projects include luxury private residences, premium apartment projects, highly sustainable modular housing, innovative student accommodation, seniors living, residential aged care, residential rehabilitation centres, mental health facilities, private clinics and public hospitals. Mr Muir has a strong and long-term interest in Building Information Modelling (BIM), is a member of GHD’s Global Digital Design steering group and the RAIA BIM Committee (WA), and a committee member for Consult Australia (WA). He maintains an active interest in architectural education as a regular guest speaker at Curtin University, and as a mentor to Architectural Masters Students participating in the University of Western Australia’s Professional Practice program.
