Colby Hauser has over 15 years of experience within the oil & gas industry in Canada and Australia, and has developed a specialised skillset including corporate strategy, gas sales and marketing, joint venture representation, project development, as well as investor and government/stakeholder relations.
Prior to becoming the managing director and chief executive of Talon Energy in March 2022, Mr Hauser was the general manager of commercial at ASX-listed Strike Energy for 2.5 years where he manages the commercial team and is responsible for commercialisation activities including production development, gas sales and assisting in corporate transactions.
Mr Hauser has significant long-term experience in the Perth Basin and is well known in the Perth energy community where he was formerly the president and is now a Life Member of the Energy Club of WA (formerly Petroleum Club of WA). He had served on the board or governors at Energy Club of WA for 5 years including 2 years as vice president, and has been a club member for over 9 years.
