Christopher Haynes

Dr Christopher Haynes has a 38-year career with Shell including as executive vice president of upstream major projects within Shell’s Projects and Technology Business, general manager of Shell’s operations in Syria, and a secondment as managing director of Nigeria LNG. From 1999 to 2002, Dr Haynes was seconded to Woodside as general manager of the North West Shelf Venture. He retired from Shell on 31 August 2011. Dr Haynes is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in the United Kingdom and also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. He was appointed to the Order of the British Empire in June 2009 for his services to the British oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
