Chris Sutherland has significant executive leadership expertise spanning more than 20 years in the oil and gas, resources, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors within Australia. He has held senior management positions in various engineering, maintenance and contracting businesses with operations in Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA.
Mr Sutherland was the managing director and group chief executive of Programmed in January 2008, an appointment he held after the merger with Integrated Group in June 2007 until his retirement in September 2019. Mr Sutherland was also chief executive of Integrated Group from 2006 and earlier in his career, he was executive director of Asset Services for WorleyParsons and held a number of engineering & management roles at Clough Engineering.
He has been a non-executive director of Fremantle Dockers (becoming president in December 2023), Matrix Composites & Engineering, and Southern Ports Authority; chair of Copper Search, RemSense Technologies & Engineering, Stelect and Fremantle Ports Authority.
