Chris Mentis has extensive experience in financial accounting. He joined Harvey Norman as a financial controller in December 1997, became chief financial officer and company secretary in April 2006 where he has overall executive responsibility for the accounting and financial matters of the consolidated entity, and an executive director in August 2007.

Mr Mentis is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
