Chris Abbiss

Associate Professor Chris Abbiss is a nationally recognised exercise and sport science researcher, and has supervised the completion of more than 20 higher degree by research students.

Associate Prof Abbiss has been appointed Dean of Graduate Research at Edith Cowan University from July 2021, having been in the acting role since November 2020. He will be responsible for leading the planning, governance and delivery of ECU’s Higher Degree by Research programs. Associate Prof Abbiss has held numerous research leadership roles at ECU including as associate dean of research at its School of Medical and Health Sciences.
