Catherine Clark has been the chief executive and state librarian at the State Library of Western Australia since April 2022. She had been with the organisation since 2015 as a board member prior to this appointment.
Before joining the State Library of WA, Ms Clark was the Curtin University librarian and director of John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library for over 7.5 years, where she led the university’s library and learning skills services across all of Curtin's learning, teaching and research community. She was also responsible for library spaces at the Western Australian campuses and for providing advice about library services to Curtin's campuses in Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore. Ms Clark had also spent over 22 years with the University of Western Australia, holding various executive positions including as assistant director of research & learning support and associate director of digital research.
