Caroline Brown specialises in energy, resources, competition and regulatory law. Her previous experience includes providing legal advice to Australian State and Federal regulators on issues relating to gas, electricity, rail and water regulation, third party access and licensing. Ms Brown advised on farm-in/farm-out and joint operating documents, purchase contracts and transportation agreements for a variety of energy projects including offshore energy work.
She has represented the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), and has acted in both enforcement and defence of actions under the Trade Practices Act 1974, now the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA).
Ms Brown also advises on mining law, with previous experience including appearing in Warden’s Court proceedings in a high profile ownership dispute.
