
Blair Hill is a sales and marketing manager with an 18-year career in the wine industry distinguished by over achieving sales and marketing budgets and an innovative approach to developing new markets and re-invigorating or launching brands. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing) at Edith Cowan University in 1999 and the two-year Diploma in Wine and Spirits (Wine and Spirit Education Trust – London) in 2000. In 2005, he was accepted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Wines & Spirits. Mr Hill consults to a select number of WA boutique wine producers and distributors in marketing, strategic sales, route to market, and the development of new business. He is a director of Vintage Fine Wine Distributors - importers of French, Italian and NZ ultra premium wines into the Perth trade. Prior to setting up his own consulting business, Mr Hill was the marketing and sales manager of the Fogarty Wine Group (Millbrook Winery – Perth Hills, Deep Woods Estate – Margaret River, and Lakes Folly – Hunter Valley) for 10 years. He was also the marketing and sales manager for Aravina Estate for three years. Mr Hill is a senior wine educator for both the Wine Education Centre and the WSET programme in Perth. He also delivers the Level 2 and 3 of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses to the Perth wine trade, judged at a number of wine shows including the Swan Valley and Geographe Wine Shows, and has been the wine reviewer for ABC 720 radio – ‘Afternoons’ for ten years.
