Bethlyn Blackwood

Beth Blackwood has been chief executive at the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia since January 2016. Her connection with the independent schools sector follows 30 years as a teacher of History and Psychology, and 19 years as principal of Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) in Western Australia. Areas of professional interest and initiatives include the education of indigenous students, International Baccalaureate programs, positive psychology, technology as an educational tool, and women’s leadership.
