Dr Bernard Olivier is a qualified geologist and has been involved with the mining and exploration industry for over 22 years. He has over 13 years of experience as a public company director of ASX-listed and AIM-quoted mining and exploration companies.
Dr Olivier has worked as a geologist since 1998 in various African, Asian and South American countries including Tanzania, South Africa, Burundi, Swaziland, Argentina, Colombia, Australia and the Philippines. He also worked on a variety of exploration and development projects as well as in mining operations across a spread of commodities including gemstones, graphite, gold, diamonds, PGEs, base metals and coal.
Dr Olivier was the chief executive of Richland Resources (formerly Tanzanite One) and director of Bezant Resources.
Based in South Africa, Dr Olivier is a dual Australian and South African national and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
