Bernard Landy has over 30 years of board and executive experience within the metals, building materials, construction and manufacturing sectors in Australia, ASEAN, and China.
He retired from his executive role as general manager of Australian steel markets at ASX-listed BlueScope Steel where he led strategic developments including creating value from key customer relationships, developing new growth opportunities for high value branded products and stewardship of the company’s product innovation program. From 2011 to 2017, Mr Landy lived in China and held key senior executive and subsidiary board roles with BlueScope including as president of BlueScope China.
Mr Landy was chair and director of the Australian Steel Institute, a director of the Bureau of Steel Manufacturers of Australia, and a member of the Australia China Business Council (Victoria) Energy and Resources Working Group.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
