Anthony Gill has extensive experience across Australia’s finance industry including Macquarie Bank for more than 16 years and as the head of banking and securitisation group (BSG). Prior to joining Macquarie, Mr Gill was a chartered accountant with a major international firm in Australia and Canada. His banking experience spans more than two decades with expertise in banking, mortgage origination and securitisation. Mr Gill was chair of the Australian Securitisation Forum and past president of the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia. As head of BSG, he had responsibility for Macquarie’s mortgage securitisation programme, PUMA, and the Bank’s mortgage, margin lending, credit card, consumer lending and banking activities in Australia and overseas. PUMA was the largest issuer of mortgage backed securities in Australia and issued billions in mortgage backed securities into the Australian, Euro and Global markets. Mr Gill is a director of First Mortgage Services, First American Title Insurance and Genworth Australia. He also sits on the board of the Butterfly Foundation for Eating Disorders.
