Anthea McGuigan

Dr Anthea McGuigan is a registered nurse with extensive experience in executive aged care management. She has held a number of senior leadership positions including as area director of Aged Care WA Country Heath Service, executive director of Mercy Aged Care, secretary of UN Women Australia Committee (WA), and member of Catholic Health Australia’s Aged Care Committee. Dr McGuigan holds qualifications in arts, humanities, applied science and company directorship. Her strong interest in psycho-social issues at the end-of-life formed the basis of her Doctorate in the area of identity, meaning and wellness in old age. She is the chief executive of St Basil’s Aged Care Services, WA.
