Angela Wiggins is a senior legal professional with over 15 years of corporate experience. She has been with BAE Systems Australia since 2009 and was appointed chief counsel in July 2015. In her role as chief counsel and company secretary, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to the business, including extra-territorial export control regulations. Ms Wiggins leads a team of professionals who are responsible for providing legal advice. She also leads the businesses Export Control and Security functions and is responsible for business continuity and crisis management across BAE Systems. Prior to her time with BAE Systems Australia, Ms Wiggins was a partner at Fisher Jeffries' corporate and commercial practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours in 2002 from Adelaide university, and is also a graduate of the Company Director course as well as the Company Secretary course run by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
