Andrew Burrell is an experienced media, communications and public policy professional.
He is a veteran Perth journalist, having worked at The Australian for over 9 years and at the Australian Financial Review for over 12 years. In August 2019, Mr Burrell became the chief of staff to the Shadow Minister for Trade and Resources. In August 2021, he was appointed chief advisor of external affairs & communications at Rio Tinto Iron Ore where he will be responsible for the company's government, media and Indigenous relations.
