Amit Kumar Mishra

Amit Kumar Mishra is a former Indian Consul-General for Perth. He was Indian Consul General in Herat before becoming Consul General in Perth. Mr Mishra joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2004 and has served in Indian diplomatic missions in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. In his postings abroad, Mr Mishra has dealt with political, commercial, education, cultural and diaspora issues. From 2011 to 2014, he worked in the Ministry of External Affairs as Under Secretary dealing with the India-United States relations. Mr Mishra has done post-graduation in botany, with biotechnology as specialisation. He knows Hindi, English and Arabic.
