Amanda Murphy specialises in advising companies on a wide range of public international law issues including international human rights, humanitarian law, investment law, international environmental law, international boundaries and the law of the sea, diplomatic immunities and sanctions.

She also advises multinational companies on disputes with foreign governments through international investment treaties and represents companies in international arbitration proceedings in a variety of forums including under the ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL rules.

Ms Murphy had spent several years as a corporate lawyer in Perth before moving to London. She returned to Perth after just over 2 years away and joined Clifford Chance as a senior associate in January 2018 before being appointed counsel in November 2020.
