Alison Robertson specialises in advising and representing lenders in recovery actions as well as insolvency practitioners across receiverships, liquidations and administrations. She works with Westpac Banking Corporation, St.George Bank and National Australia Bank in relation to all aspects of secured and unsecured recovery. She also advises ANZ, HSBC and Bendigo Bank in recovery matters. In addition, Ms Robertson acts for insolvency practitioners including KordaMentha, EY, KPMG, Ferrier Hodgson, PricewaterhouseCoopers, McGrathNicol and Partners, PPB Advisory, Pitcher Partners, Deloitte and FTI Consulting. She has extensive experience in advisory work and litigation arising from administrations, liquidations and receiverships. Ms Robertson’s recent and current major projects include acting for Westpac Banking Corporation and St.George Bank in respect of several complex property group controllerships, Westpac Banking Corporation in complex guarantee recovery actions, and National Australia Bank in relation to property, building and construction and agribusiness exposures. Her recent work includes acting for the receivers of Pluton Resources and its joint venture partner Wise Energy including successful litigation, acting for the liquidators of the Forge Group, working with the administrators of Enerji, advising a major bank in relation to its exposure to ILH, advising a New York based hedge fund in respect of its debt exposure to a West Australian mining concern, assisting in the scheme of arrangement for the Barrick Group, acting for partners in an accounting firm in a partnership dispute, acting for the liquidators of the Allmine Group, working with the receivers of the Newman Hotel complex, and acting for major banks defending claims by existing or former customers and guarantors.
