Alexandra Piper is a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience, predominantly in the area of transportation. She has been with GHD since 2007 and has led the foundation building of GHD Digital's Smart Cities and Virtual Reality businesses. Her transport projects have included project management of the first variable message signs on Perth freeways, the first wireless detectors for monitoring vehicle flows for Main Roads WA, the first network operations plan for the Gateway WA project, and a strategy document for utilising intelligent transport solutions to successfully operate the road network. In addition to her transportation career, Ms Piper also spent two years managing a property business for GHD which encompassed the services of town planning, survey, landscape architecture and land development.
