Alex Wiese has a comprehensive and diverse background in local government gained over 20 years and has led development, planning and environmental and business improvement teams.
Prior to being executive manager of economy and growth at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, he was the director of development service and manager of health and compliance. Mr Wiese has also worked in a senior consultancy capacity in environmental firms and in other local governments across the state. He was the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's lead on the Growing Kalgoorlie-Boulder Plan and the 2017 Kalgoorlie-Boulder Investment Prospectus, and has also played integral roles in progressing major economic growth projects including the attraction new major industry, developing strategic industrial land, a major transport hub and a rail realignment project.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and Executive Masters of Business Administration.
