Prior to joining the Shire of Murray, Alan Smith held various engineering roles with city and regional local government authorities. Committed to moving the Shire of Murray's technical services directorate forward, Mr Smith plans to develop the department sustainably, to cater for the current and future needs for roads, parks, drainage, waste, cemeteries and asset management, whilst protecting the unique character of the Shire.
Mr Smith has a Certificate in Civil Engineering, and has extended his studies to incorporate Finance and Behavioural Management.
