Adrian Strang is the general counsel and company secretary of ASX-listed Austal, Australia’s largest shipbuilding company. Before that, he was legal counsel at Macmahon Holdings and also spent five years in private legal practice. Mr Strang has a wealth of experience in the commercial sector and corporate governance. Admitted to the NSW Supreme Court in 2002, the High Court and Federal Court of Australia in 2005, and then the WA Supreme Court in 2007, Mr Strang has also completed the Leadership WA program and participated in the Youth Focus ‘Ride for Youth’ (riding 670km for charity) in 2011. In his roles as legal & general counsel, he has had firsthand involvement in the preparation, negotiation and execution of multi-million projects throughout WA and overseas.
