Abigail Davies, a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers, has been practicing law for over 20 years. She is also a senior sessional member of the State Administrative Tribunal and an arbitrator at WorkCoverWA.
Ms Davies’ first five years of law were at Blake Dawson Waldron, predominantly in Perth and also in Sydney. Other roles included legal counsel and company secretary at Barrick Gold of Australia for over 10 years, litigation lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investment Commission, and assessor for the Anglican and Catholic churches. Ms Davies was non-executive director and chief financial officer for the Minerals & Energy Research Institute of WA. She is also a board member for EMTECH, a not-for-profit that assists people with disabilities obtain and maintain employment.
She received both her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Relations) at the University of Western Australia, and her Master of Laws at Melbourne University in 2013.
