Whitestone Mining Services
Whitestone Mining Services was known as Whitestone Minerals until June 2016. It was a drilling services company associated with mining investor Michael Fotios and owned by Investmet, a company linked to him. It took a big stake in Horseshoe Metals as a result of a drilling contract for the group in 2014. An application for the winding up of Whitestone Mining Services Pty Ltd formerly known as Whitestone Minerals Pty Ltd was commenced by the plaintiff Energy Power Systems Pty Limited on 27/06/2016. That application was dismissed in August. An additional winding up application brought by the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation (Australian Taxation Office) in September was also dismissed in October 2016. Since then at least three further winding up applications have been brought against the company, with ASIC records showing Beilby Corporation, the tax office and Centreline Drilling have all taken action. At least one application was dismissed. In April 2019 the court appointed liquidators to the company.
