Western Gas is an unlisted Perth company established in 2017 to develop new gas supplies for local industry.
Its core asset is the Equus gas field located offshore in the North West Shelf, near infrastructure, production facilities and pipelines providing access to the Western Australian gas market.
Western Gas owns 100% of the Equus gas project, comprising 11 gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin. The project is development ready, with exploration and appraisal already completed, engineering activities at an advanced stage and, with a certified resource of more than 2 Tcf (trillion cubic feet) of gas and 42 million barrels of condensate.
