Developed by Ledger Assets and launched in December 2015, Uproov was an app that used blockchain technology to ensure photos, videos and audio recordings are never altered and remain in their original state.
Uproov (“You Prove”) involved using a unique time-stamped encryption key for every image or recording, which is then locked. Even a photo of the photo cannot be taken, which the company claimed is a world first.
Uproov is no longer in operation.
