StartupsFounded by Edward Simakoloyi in November 2015, Tamad Technology is a software firm has produced the TAMAD system ('Tech for Urban Nomads') and Tamad app, the latter in association with fellow Perth firm Lateral. The Tamad app - which launched in May 2016 in Australia, USA, Canada and the UK - allows users to set up their phones to automatically text a recipient when they are a chosen number of minutes away. The app is marketed at couriers, business people travelling to appointments, and casual users who want to inform friends of their arrival.
