The former Rydges Perth ceased operations on the 1st September 2015. Whilst operating Rydges Perth had a rating of 4.5 star, with 245 rooms available. InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Rydges Hotel owner UNIR Hotels to transform the venue into a luxurious, 240-room InterContinental hotel. The hotel is scheduled to be re-opened in 2017. The Rydges brand is owned by ASX-litsed company Event Hospitality & Entertainment.
