Plummers Industries is a family-owned Western Australian company with operations in Western Australia and Queensland, which manufactures switchboards.
The company was founded in 1957, when Bill Plummer established a spring manufacturing works in Belmont WA to make specialised springs for local machinery manufacturers. Activities expanded to include sheet metal fabrication, which developed into switchboard manufacturing in the mid 1970s. Switchboards and associated equipment have been the company’s main focus since 1975.
Design and manufacture of transportable switch rooms began in 1990, in response to a growing demand for suitable, purpose-built, prefabricated, transportable switch rooms and substations for the mining industry.
In late 2015, the company began offering complete turn key solutions to our existing customers, and opened a new division to provide a full set of services, including specialised packaged equipment installation, construction, cross country and process plant pipelines, commissioning and maintenance.
