Kent is a global engineering firm with a focus on the oil & gas and energy sectors. It evolved from the 2021 merger of Irish company Kentech, its forerunner Kentz and Atkins Oil & Gas. Since 2024, the business has been owned by Dubai-based Nesma & Partners, a contracting company in the Middle East. As of 2025, Kent had 980 people in Australia and 180 in Perth.
The Perth office of Kent previously traded as SNC-Lavalin from 2014-2021, following the acquisition of Kentz by SNC-Lavalin in 2014.
