Fresh Produce Alliance

Fresh Produce Alliance owns the Avovita avocado brand, and a processing facility in Manjimup. The Alliance's strategy is to make use of the large amount of fruit and vegetable produce that is wasted every year, with about 30 per cent of production not even leaving the farm gate. That produce may be blemished or have an awkward shape, although it is still usable. As part of the strategy, Fresh Produce purchased Western Australia’s first cold pressure food processing (HPP) machine. That has led to a string of new products including baby food brand Born Pure, smoothies and avocado chocolate mousse.
