Founded in 2012 in Perth, Western Australia, Bombora is an award-winning ocean energy company. It has European operations in Pembrokeshire, Wales in the heart of a dynamic wave and tidal energy focused region and an office in Perth, Western Australia.
Initially known as Bombora Wave Power, the two principals Glen Ryan and Shawn Ryan, both professional mechanical engineers from Western Australia, developed the technology in their consulting engineering company Rytech Australia before transferring to Bombora Wave Power in January 2012 with the specific focus of further developing and commercialising the technology. The company is now operating as Bombora.
