PRIVATE equity group Archer Capital has emerged rapidly this year to become one of the largest investors in Western Australia, following its purchase of the company behind the Chicken Treat and Red Rooster fast food chains.
Mining contractor Barminco has secured a $100 million contract to provide underground mining services to Aditya Birla Minerals' Mount Gordon operation in Queensland.
Sydney-based Gresham Investment House will take a majority stake in East Perth-based underground mining specialist Barminco, the two companies announced this morning.
