Katie McDonald is the property writer for Business News and joined the team in 2016. At the 2017 WA State Media Awards Katie was a finalist for the Best Cadet/New Journalist award and took out the top prize for the Best Culture and Arts Report, which she also won in 2018. At the start of 2020 Katie returned to the Business News team after a stint in copywriting. Katie completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2015 with a double major in marketing and english studies.
