Forrest family's Tattarang scales back Ningaloo Lighthouse Resort redevelopment
An $85 million plan to redevelop an old caravan park at the tip of the Ningaloo Reef into a swanky eco-resort has been significantly scaled back after facing political hurdles.
Z1Z Resorts – the accommodation arm of Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s Tattarang – has been trying for seven years to turn the Ningaloo Lighthouse Caravan Park into a 550-pax resort housing glamping tents, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and a restaurant.
