In 2019 Business News launched a new event series - Politics & Business - designed to provide a platform for government to address and inform business leaders and the broader business community on policies and key issues that affect our state.
The events are usually held as a breakfast and as a 15 minute keynote address followed by a 30 minute moderated in-conversation, including attendee questions using an audience interactive platform.

From Policy to Place
The Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC is currently the Minister for Regional Development; Ports; Science and Innovation; Medical Research; and the Kimberley, and serves as Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council.
Born in Dublin, Mr Dawson migrated to Australia in 1989 and has extensive experience in government, communications, and the trade union movement. He has held multiple senior ministerial roles since 2017.
