Perth business wins global tech award
Perth-based Illuminance Solutions has claimed a global technology award, winning a Microsoft 2019 partner of the year award.
The company’s platform AvantCare, which was developed specifically for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service providers, won the inaugural partner for social impact category.
AvantCare is an integrated NDIS client and services information management program, built off the Microsoft 365 Dynamics platform.
“This win is a great encouragement for the team at Illuminance who are driven to use their skills and knowledge to create social impact outcomes,” he said.
“Illuminance Solutions will use its voice as the inaugural winner of the partner for social impact award to champion more social change.”
Perth-based Velrada was named runner up in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 field service partner category.
It won the award based on its work with global facilities management company Sodexo, which runs multiple mine site villages in WA, and Universal Communications Group.
Velrada chief executive Rob Evans said the company made an explicit commitment several years ago to invest in the global field service opportunity created by Microsoft’s integrated Dynamics 365 and Azure cloud platform, with a focus on connected field services and artificial intelligence.
“We now have a range of accelerators and solutions focused on the resources, energy and asset maintenance industries that give our customers significant competitive advantage in areas such as predictive maintenance, mobile field resource management and AI driven schedule optimisation, and asset management and AI driven fault resolution,” he said.
Global IT firm Modis, whch has a large presence across Australia, was named the Microsoft Australian partner of the year.
Across all categories, there were 41 winners announced, from more than 2,900 entrants.
The annual Microsoft awards aim to recognise Microsoft partners demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
